Nurture Nature with a Gazebo Bird Feeder

A gazebo bird feeder can bring nature closer to your garden. Flocks of birds greet these miniature house structures at all times of the day.

Gazebo bird feeders introduce a decorative element in the garden, but their practical functionality doesn’t necessarily mean a drab addition to the landscape.

Indeed, nowadays a gazebo bird feeder comes in a wide range of models. Designs vary from the simple to the very intricate. Some can even be qualified as works of art. Miniature castles have been created, along with the traditional, four-faced structures with a roof. Innovative shapes and designs are not in the least forgotten- there’s one for every garden, and for every taste. Lantern-shaped, church-domed feeders, even one designed to look like a tree bark, are up for sale in specialist stores.

A gazebo bird feeder is made from a wide array of materials. Wood--usually cedar and redwood--is the most commonly used material. Metal structures and even plastic ones are also available. Price varies between the choice of material and the choice of the model.

Nearly all gazebo bird feeders have a roof. This element is a focal one in the design of the feeder. Wood is often used. Hammered copper roofs are not too common. Copper roofs provide a rustic touch, and the patina they acquire with time work to enhance the feeder’s beauty. Verdigris roofs can also be found on some models, and they provide a singular bluish colored structure.

Most models are mounted on a pole. In some instances, telescopic poles are available, where one can adjust the desired height of the feeder. Other models can be hung, and can create a ‘hanging garden’ effect. They can be hung from a ceiling dome, or hooked onto beautifully crafted metal hangers.

The majority of these feeders are created to cater for a wide variety of birds. Some feeders are larger, in grain capacity and feeding space, which make them ideal for areas where there are many birds. Most come with drainage holes in the storage container to keep seeds dry and fresh. Some models offer a fly-through design, and some even include both hopper feeder and platform feeder.

A gazebo bird feeder is a beautiful addition to any garden. They are also a boon to birds--thus helping to nurture nature.
